The Wilhelmina Holder Youth Fellowship

The Wilhelmina Holder Youth Fellowship is dedicated to identifying and empowering young leaders (16-25) who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in their communities. Eligible applicants must either be a resident of Newark, NJ or have an affiliation with a school, work, organization, etc, in Newark.

The Thomas Peterson Youth Fellowship

The Thomas Peterson Youth Fellowship honors Perth Amboy’s own Thomas Peterson, the first African American to vote under the 15th Amendment, and then served on the city’s charter commission. This fellowship is designed to inspire high school and college students to step into civic leadership by leading No-Blame Problem Solving and community know-how.

The fellowship is open to High school and college students (ages 16–25) who live in or have a stake in Perth Amboy

The Dr. Willa Cofield Youth Fellowship

Plainfield’s Civic Youth Fellowship is dedicated to empowering young, courageous leaders. Dr. Willa Cofield, at 96 years young, continues dedicating her life to empowering the next generation through leadership, pragmatic problem-solving, and equity through civic engagement.

The Dr. Willa Cofield Civic Youth Fellowship is dedicated to identifying and empowering young leaders in Plainfield who are passionate about making an impact in their city.

Edith Savage Jennings Youth Fellowship

Trenton’s very own Civil Rights Icon, Edith Savage Jennings dedicated her life to empowering the next generation of leaders with a passion for education and equity through civic engagement. Ms. Jennings was an American civil rights leader from Trenton, New Jersey and was known for her association with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and his wife, Mrs. Coretta Scott King. The Edith Savage Youth Fellowship is dedicated to identifying and empowering young leaders (16 – 25) in Trenton who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in their communities. Our application process is designed to recognize students with the commitment and potential necessary to drive positive change.
