Trenton’s very own Civil Rights Icon, Edith Savage Jennings dedicated her life to empowering the next generation of leaders with a passion for education and equity through civic engagement. Ms. Jennings was an American civil rights leader from Trenton, New Jersey and was known for her association with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and his wife, Mrs. Coretta Scott King.
The fellowship is a 7-month program (January–July) for young adults ages 18–25, with fellows graduating in May and transitioning into roles as Civic Trustees.
