Trenton’s very own Civil Rights Icon, Edith Savage Jennings dedicated her life to empowering the next generation of leaders with a passion for education and equity through civic engagement. Ms. Jennings was an American civil rights leader from Trenton, New Jersey and was known for her association with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and his wife, Mrs. Coretta Scott King.
The Edith Savage Youth Fellowship is dedicated to identifying and empowering young leaders (16 – 25) in Trenton who are passionate about making a meaningful impact in their communities. Our application process is designed to recognize students with the commitment and potential necessary to drive positive change.
